All smiles for the birthday boy! Gavin Rossdale celebrated his 54th birthday with his three sons — Kingston, 13, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, 5 — and daughter, Daisy Lowe, at a chic dinner on Wednesday, October 30. He took to Instagram to commemorate the special evening with a rare pic.

“I am in heaven — Grateful for these four miracles,” Gavin captioned the photo of his loved ones surrounding the dinner table. Several of the rock star’s fans sent him well-wishes. “So beautiful,” commented one, to which he replied, “I know — I’m so lucky.” Another user added, “So happy you got to be with your four lovelies today — what a special birthday treat! Soak up the beautiful energy.” Gavin responded writing, “Yes really special.”

Daisy, his daughter from his fling with Pearl Lowe, also took to Instagram to send her dad a special birthday message. “Happiest birthday dad @gavinrossdale we all love you with all our hearts and we are very lucky you made us, ♥️🎂🎈” the 30-year-old captioned a selfie of her father and siblings. His eldest son, Kingston, added to the birthday banter on his personal page, writing, “I love you so much dad!! Happy birthday!!! 🤗❤️❤️.”

Although Gavin received an outpouring of birthday messages, there was one person who was clearly absent from the festivities. His ex-wife, Gwen Stefani, didn’t appear to wish her former flame a happy birthday. Despite not sharing a sweet sentiment, Gavin told In Touch exclusively that he and his ex are on good terms.

“I just always want her to be happy,” Gavin said at the New York premiere of John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parambellum back in May. He said the two do their best to coparent. “You know, we both manage to feed them and get them to school on time, more or less!” He added, “They are doing really good. They’re really happy, and that’s it. We’re doing the best we can.”

The proud father also shared the great advice he gives his children. “To be whole, interesting and considerate human beings who make this world a better place. That’s it. That’s all I tell them.” Seems like they have learned a lot from their dad and take his wise words to heart. Happy birthday, Gavin!
