Andy and Ashley Williams Won’t Let ‘Flip or Flop Fort Worth’ Tear Them Apart (EXCLUSIVE)
In the new issue of In Touch, HGTV’s newest stars, Flip or Flop Fort Worth’s Ashley and Andy Williams, talk their new spin-off and how they wont let its success ruin their relationship.
“We worked in the worst environment ever; it was a life-or-death situation, literally. People were dropping rockets out of the sky,” Ashley reveals. The Army veteran-turned interior designer, who started dating former Marine Andy, 35, now a real estate agent and renovation expert, when both were serving in Iraq 10 years ago. The couple married in 2009 and have two kids, Ashton, 5, and Amina, 4.
“We have been through the worst with each other, so if it gets to a point where we are too stressed out or not having fun doing this show, we will walk away,” Ashley says.
It’s not always easy to keep the peace while working and filming together. “Andy wants to buy every house he sees,” Ashley continues, who, along with her husband, has flipped 50 homes and kept another 50 as rentals since settling back into civilian life in Texas and learning the ins and outs of the real estate market.
So they enforce ground rules. “Andy is a workaholic, so he brings his work home,” Ashley explains. “But I don’t do the computer-in-bed thing,” Andy adds.
“The rule for us is business is business and family is family,” Andy explains. “And family,” adds Ashley, “is what’s most important.”
