‘Flip or Flop’ Divorce Reason: Find Out What Went Wrong for Christina and Tarek El Moussa
It’s been more than a month since Tarek and Christina El Moussa filed for divorce, ending their marriage of seven years — and still, fans have endless questions about what went for the husband and wife who costarred on Flip or Flop.
So what’s the reason for their failed marriage? Well, it turns out there are several factors that led to their split.

She Was Allegedly Texting Another Man
Things became heated when Tarek allegedly caught Christina texting Gary Anderson, who was first hired by the El Moussas as a contractor to work on their pool. While Christina and Gary have since confirmed their relationship, he was allegedly partially to blame for their split.
As In Touch previously reported, Tarek had suspicions that Christina was texting another man, and he was proven right in May. At the same time, he exploded on his wife and drew a gun — resulting in someone calling 911.
Both Tarek and Christina have since denied the possibility of either of them texting another person, telling In Touch in a statement, “Neither of us was involved in a romantic relationship with any third party prior to our separation, or believes the other was.”

He Was Verbally Abusive
Tarek had a nasty habit of being verbally abusive to his wife, with one source telling In Touch he treated the mother of his two young children — Taylor and Brayden — “like garbage.”
“When she said the wrong thing and they had to do a retake, he got pissed. He often made her cry,” an insider told In Touch. “Tarek found humor in humiliating his wife in repeated verbal attacks. Some of his bad behavior was even caught on camera [in footage that never aired]. Tarek called Christina a ‘whore’ on set many times.”
He Humiliated Her
Unfortunately, when it came to Tarek’s bad behavior, some of his abuse was physical as well, sometimes grabbing her butt and breasts in front of their crew.
When given the opportunity to comment on Tarek’s troubling tactics, Christina’s rep told In Touch she would “not be providing any comments” about her estranged husband’s troubled ways.
