EXCLUSIVE: Tarek El Moussa Hired a Private Investigator to Watch Christina El Moussa Before Divorce Filing

In the new issue of In Touch, an insider explains why it’s been so hard for the Flip or Flop star to deal with his ex’s new romance.

“It’s hard for Tarek to see Christina dating, but it’s even worse that Gary is the guy she’s with,” the insider explains. “There’s nothing that could be more upsetting to Tarek than to see her with a guy who is like him but better — and that’s Gary. He’s in the same industry as Tarek, but he’s older and more established and has more money.”

Of course, Tarek and Gary also have a complicated history.

Gary first met the reality TV couple when he was hired to work on their pool. Tarek had suspicions that Christina was texting another man behind his back, but never had proof.

“Christina grew close to Gary. Tarek was suspicious that she was getting involved with someone, but had no concrete evidence,” a source previously told In Touch. That eventually changed last May. “Tarek saw Christina’s phone and [believed] there was some inappropriate texting going on between Christina and Gary.”

It was then that Christina and Tarek got in an explosive fight — during which, the father-of-two drew a gun and 911 had to be called.
