It’s getting seriously physical in here. Real Housewives of New Jersey stars and former BFFs Danielle Staub and Margaret Josephs got into the beginnings of a physical fight on the January 1 episode — but it looks like these two Jersey gals are still in the thick of their feud. We got to see the escalation of the 57-year-old’s decision to pull the 52-year-old’s blonde ponytail during the January 8 episode.

The women threw insults at each other — and Teresa Giudice even suggested that Marge may have been the catalyst in Danielle’s breakup with ex-husband Marty Caffrey. And believe it or not, the 47-year-old bodybuilder even followed Danielle out of the boutique the cast was shopping in to support her after the fight … which the rest of the ladies weren’t happy with. Yikes.

The physical altercation started when the RHONJ OG suggested that Marge was a prostitute, which prompted the businesswoman to pour a bottle of water on Danielle while the ladies shopped at a local boutique. From there, the mother of two decided it would be a great idea to take a pull at Margaret’s ponytail, causing her head to snap back with the quickness of it all.

Needless to say, Marge was really shaken by the entire incident. “Happy New Year! I just want to check in [and] say while everyone is anticipating tonight’s episode, it is very painful for me to relive,” she wrote on Twitter before the first feud episode aired. “The energy that day frightened me [and] to this day it still does. I have never hit anyone nor did I after being pushed or being assaulted from behind.”

“2nd part,” she continued in second and third tweets. “What I did do after a half hour of a brutal back and forth with my personal space being invaded was to pour water on someone who was clearly looking to assault me and push me into a physical altercation. I have been told I deserved it, I asked for it …. I was attacked … a full 12 minutes after the fact from behind. My neck was snapped back, easily could have been broken. I could not defend myself. I could have been paralyzed. Everyone was crying including production. It was horrific. I wanted to forget move on. To this day, devastated.”

Danielle recently spoke out about the incident for a Bravo after-show segment, where she questioned why Margaret felt the need to get involved in parts of her life she was supposedly not privy to. “How far am I gonna let this go without a pushback?” she said in a clip posted after the January 8 episode. “No more.”

Plus, it seems as though Marge might reconsider pressing charges over the heated incident. “You can have your opinions but in NJ, assault is causing bodily injury,” she responded to a fan tweet on January 2. “She can be actually charged with aggravated assault and battery. I cannot. The only reason I haven’t is because I don’t want to keep reliving this. It doesn’t mean I can’t change my mind.”

We don’t know about you, but we’re dying to see what happens next with these two.
