Surprising tons of fans, the 40-year-old stopped by a screening of the film at the  Hollywood Forever Cemetery in California. Standing alongside six-year-old son Bear, the ageless blonde was stunning, and of course she took the time to talk to the audience!

“I really love the film and I’m so happy you all do too!” she said on stage. She also, of course, had to pay homage to her most iconic role, adding in Cher’s signature catchphrase, “Whatever!”

And though we couldn’t imagine the film without Alicia, she has admitted that she had major hesitations about taking the movie on! She opened up to Entertainment Tonight about the fears and regrets she had about joining the flick.

“I remember driving back from doing one of the Aerosmith music videos, because it was now the third one [I had done] or something,” she said.  “I was in Santa Barbara and I was reading [the Clueless script] in the back of a car and I remember thinking, ‘This is so funny, but I’m not funny! I don’t know how I can do this.'”

Though the mother-of-one seemed to fit the role perfectly, she also revealed that, at first, playing her was hard. But she admitted that some of the girls she grew up with gave her the inspiration for the role!

“When I grew up I did not like these kinds of girls. I could not stand them, so it was hard for me to even, like, get into this character because that was something I’ve always hated,” she said. “I grew up in a nice area and all these girls had everything and I knew all these kinds of girls — one in particular, but the one thing they don’t have, which Cher does, is that solid, 100 percent, pure good heart and happiness.”
