Cardi B Serenades Offset With Beyonce’s ‘Love on Top’ Amid Legal Issues
She doesn’t seem concerned! Cardi B shared a few videos of herself singing to her love, Offset, on her Instagram Story on July 2, and didn’t seem worried about the legal issues she’s faced in recent weeks. The rapper serenaded her daughter Kulture’s daddy with Beyonce’s “Love on Top,” and frankly, he didn’t seem nearly appreciative enough for the effort, if you ask us.
Back in late June, the “I Like It” singer — whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar — was hit with felony charges connected to an altercation at a strip club last August. She reportedly turned herself in to the police following the fight, in which “she was involved throwing chairs at bartenders,” NYPD’s Cadet Serrata told Radar Online in October. They were “not sure” if she threw the chairs herself, “but we know she was with a group of people that were throwing chairs,” Serrata added at the time.
The performer showed up to court in December in connection to the charges and was released without bail. Now, she’s pleaded not guilty after being indicted on 12 counts, including two counts of felony attempted assault with intent to cause serious injury. She was indicted by a grand jury in Queens, New York, on June 21 and entered her plea on June 25.
Despite all of that, Cardi has been acting like everything is normal over on Instagram. On July 2, she uploaded a new video of her daughter and captioned the clip of Kulture smiling with, “Maaaa attitude.” One fan wrote in the comments, “I just love her lil personality 💕.” Another responded, “She’s got the same mannerisms as you!! OMG!! 💕 Twinning ✨.”
Cardi also posted about the release of a new video on June 26 and generally doesn’t seem too worried about the legal issues she’s facing. Maybe she’s just trying to keep things normal for herself and for her baby girl?
