Instagram Goes Off on Brody Jenner After He Posts About Disobeying the ‘Rules’: ‘Hence Why You’re Not Married’
Instagram users were not happy with Brody Jenner after he posted of a photo of himself having too much fun on the social media platform — just a couple of weeks after The Hills: New Beginnings star and his ex Kaitlynn Carter announced they were splitting up.
“If you obey all the rules, you’ll miss all the fun,” the 35-year-old captioned a photo of himself DJing with Devin Lucien in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Monday, August 12.
However, some of his followers weren’t happy with the MTV personality. One person wrote, “Hence why you’re not married,” while another echoed, “If you can’t obey the rules, don’t marry. Just have fun first.” A third chimed in, writing, “But also aren’t you, like, 35? I mean, when do we grow up, bro?”
But some users stuck up for the handsome hunk. “You do what makes you happy @brodyjenner! The people that matter want the best for you,” while a second person added, “Enjoy life, Brody. It is far too short.”
It’s no surprise that Brody and Kaitlynn weren’t on the same page since throughout the current season of the MTV show, she expressed interest in having babies while Brody insisted he wasn’t ready for the next step quite yet. “While I don’t have kids, I’m gonna pretty much do what I wanna do and live for myself, as opposed to live for another human being,” he said during the premiere episode. “I think that’s why she wants kids — she wants to change in that way.”
After news broke that Brody and Kaitlynn, 30, were no longer an item, the blonde beauty was spotted canoodling and kissing pop star Miley Cyrus during their Italian vacation. Shortly afterward, Miley’s rep confirmed that she was no longer with her husband, Liam Hemsworth.
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” her rep told People on August 10. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
Brody seemingly hinted at his heartache on social media on August 11. “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today,” he wrote. Afterward, Brody’s costar and friend Brandon Thomas Lee decided to make a joke about the whole situation on Instagram. “Let’s round this scandal out and post a picture of us making out,” the 23-year-old wrote in the comments section.
The DJ seemed to laugh off the drama, though. “@brandonthomaslee, watch out!” he quipped. “Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon.”
Miley, 26, actually replied to their comments, writing, “@brodyjenner go take a nap in your truck and cool off. #HotGirlSummer.” Brody originally commented with the same phrase on a snap of Kaitlynn and Miley’s original vacation pictures.
Welp, it looks like there is shade being thrown all over the place!
