This is too heartbreaking. Following the untimely death of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, it seems that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have reportedly decided to postpone their wedding. “She’s devastated,” a source told In Touch of Ari’s current condition.

“She was on cloud nine planning the big day… but Mac’s passing has really shaken her up,” the source added. As far as how Pete’s feeling? “He’s fine with postponing the wedding,” the source revealed. “He just wants to be there to comfort Ariana. He knows Mac’s death is incredibly difficult for her.”

Mac, who died of an apparent overdose on Sept. 7, dated the “God is a woman” singer for two years before they ended the relationship in May 2018. Shortly thereafter, Ariana got engaged to SNL star Pete Davidson. The pair received a lot of backlash, especially Ariana, as many speculated there was crossover between her relationship with Mac and Pete.

That backlash continued tenfold following the rapper’s death. So much so, that a disturbing number of people on the Internet went so far as to blame the 25-year-old for her ex’s passing. Fortunately, a close friend of Mac’s, Shane Powers, took to his podcast on Sept. 10 to disprove any suggestion that Ari was responsible for the 26-year-old’s apparent overdose.

“Ariana and him were together, and they were very much in love. And I have to say, she was incredible when he was first sobering up. She was a f—–g G to him,” Shane explained. “There could not have been anybody more supportive of him being sober than Ariana.” Shane went on to reveal his firsthand experience with Mac’s substance abuse and Ari’s struggle to tame it.

“I saw that, I was around it, I took phone calls from her. ‘How do I help? What do I do?’ This little girl was unbelievably involved and helpful to him being healthy. Because whether he [was] an addict or not, the way that Mac partied was not healthy,” the 47-year-old detailed.

Ariana has yet to make a formal statement on Mac’s passing. However, she did “break her silence” on Sept. 8 by sharing a gorgeous black and white photograph of her longtime love with no caption. Additionally, it seems she was forced to disable any commenting — for fear of further hate. Our continued thoughts and prayers are with Mac’s fans, family, and friends… Ariana included.
