Travis Scott Skips Out on 2019 American Music Awards Red Carpet Amid Split From Kylie Jenner
Young La Flame is truly in ~sicko mode~, y’all … or at least, that’s what we assume. Rapper Travis Scott skipped the 2019 American Music Awards red carpet on Sunday, November 24 — which would have been his first since his split from longtime girlfriend and baby mama Kylie Jenner. Needless to say, it’s a bit of a bummer to see him skip the pre-show … but we know he’ll kill his AMAs performance later on in the evening.
Travis, 28, and his ex officially split back in October, but according to the makeup mogul, things have been really positive between them despite the separation. “Travis and I are on great terms and our main focus right now is Stormi,” Kylie, 22, tweeted in the days following the split. “Our friendship and our daughter is priority.”
Believe it or not, things are even better now between them — especially when it comes to taking care of their 1-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster — according to an insider who spoke exclusively with Life & Style. “Coparenting is working out really well for Travis and Kylie,” the source exclusively dished. “They’re actually getting on better now than they did when they were a couple!”
“Kylie says Travis is a great dad and she wants him in Stormi’s life no matter what,” the insider continued. “Obviously, Stormi’s their number one priority.”
Though Kylie and Trav will always be connected through their daughter, it seems as though the brunette beauty has moved on from one rapper to another. Kylie and Drake sparked romance rumors for the first time at the Toronto native’s 33rd birthday bash on October 23. Shortly following the sighting, an insider told In Touch the duo had been “flirting for years.”
Plus, another source revealed the possible couple had been on a date in the spring. “They nearly became an item eight months ago,” they dished to the outlet about how close Ky and Drake, 33, have become this year. “Back in early March, the two had a top-secret dinner date at a trendy Hollywood restaurant and were all over each other.”
This date seemingly went down around the time Travis was rumored to have cheated on his baby mama, which a statement from his rep heavily denied. “Travis Scott vehemently denies he cheated on Kylie. It is not true,” the statement read. “He did not cheat.” Well, either way, it seems that all’s well that ends well.
