This is kind of weird timing. William H. Macy was spotted at a hardware store on April 9, just one day after his wife, Felicity Huffman, pleaded guilty to charges in the college admissions scandal on April 8. Macy, 69, was seen at a hardware store called Anawalt on April 9. He was dressed casually and hid his face and eyes from the sun with a hat and sunglasses.

Just One Day

The actor was spotted just one day after his wife pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud on April 8.

He’s Not to Blame

Macy was not indicted because his wife was apparently the one who allegedly arranged a $15,000 payment to increase their daughter’s SAT score. Huffman, 56, released a statement where she took the blame for her actions that read, “I am pleading guilty to the charge brought against me by the United States Attorney’s Office. I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions.”

Macy was also photographed while he was walking through a parking garage near the Westfield Century City shopping mall on April 8 but told photographers he couldn’t talk about the case.
