Moving on. Wendy Williams’ son, Kevin Hunter Jr., had his assault case dropped after he allegedly attacked his fatherKevin Hunter Sr., in May. A source close to the 54-year-old talk show host told Us Weekly on Tuesday, July 9, that Kevin Sr. decided not to press charges against his son at a New Jersey courthouse. The 18-year-old plead not guilty to all charges on June 25.

The father and son allegedly got into a physical altercation after they discussed Kevin Sr.’s request for spousal support. “[Kevin Jr.] was given a summons,” the Essex County family court told the outlet about the incident at the time, which occurred in a parking lot in New Jersey. “Basically, this is a matter that will be handled in family court. He was processed in West Orange and then released to appear on a summons at a later date.”

Afterward, Kevin Sr. released a statement about the incident. “I love my son very much, and I will not be pursuing this matter legally,” he told TMZ. “Things are not always how they appear.”

The blonde beauty filed for divorce from the 46-year-old TV producer in April 2019, after 21 years of marriage. It wasn’t a surprise to fans that Wendy and Kevin Sr. decided to go their separate ways since there have been rumors going around for a while that Kevin was allegedly cheating on the New Jersey native with his mistress Sharina Hudson.

Despite the family drama, it seems like Wendy is doing better than ever since she recently revealed she has a new man in her life. “Well, I’m not on the market anymore,” she said during the Monday, July 8, episode of The Wendy Williams Show. “I don’t know how I’m doing! I’m not in love, but there’s somebody that I’m crazy about.”

The Ask Wendy author continued to tell the audience that she is not seeing 27-year-old Marc Tomblin — the two held hands in an Instagram snap together. “All right, listen. It’s not who you think. Mother doesn’t deal with children,” she said. “But it just so happens that I guess with my charm and wit, I attract people of all ages. If you’re 27, like my new friend Marc — OK, relax.”

The DWTS alum noted that her ideal partner is actually someone who is older than her. “When it comes time of the comfort of a man, I need somebody in his 50s, too. And he’s got to work,” she explained. “But he’s been married, his kids are in their 20s. And yes, he’s black. I know you’re wondering.” Wendy also confirmed that he is a doctor.
