The parenting police are back at it again! Just weeks after it was revealed that Teresa Giudice‘s husband, Joe, would be deported back to Italy for fraud, the RHONJ star took her daughters on vacation. The only problem? It’s smack dab in the middle of the school year. Needless to say, people weren’t exactly thrilled.

“Take the kids out of school, leave sick father, ignore husband and partner in crime, then get called a great mom,” one hater fumed in a now-deleted comment. Another questioned, “Isn’t school in session??” and a third chimed in, “How do your kids get away with missing so much school? They added, “My kids have to see a doctor when they leave early. I don’t get it?”

Others, however, couldn’t help but notice how grown up the two looked. Gabriella (left) turned 14 years old last month while her sister, Milania (right), turned 12 in February. “Stop growing upppppppppppp!” someone wrote. “I’m the oldest of three girls and one very tall baby brother. Family is everything. Stay beautiful inside and out.” A second said, “Growing up so fast beautiful gals.”

Of course, the sisters could still be on Thanksgiving break. Or perhaps it’s a #TBT? Maybe a #latergram?…

In July 2013, both Teresa and Joe were indicted on 39 counts of fraud and tax charges, later facing an additional two counts that November. (The couple had already dealt with financial woes for years and filed for bankruptcy in 2009.) The mother-of-four completed 11 months of a 15-month sentence and was released from prison on Dec. 23, 2015 — but Joe wasn’t so lucky.

“Based upon the law, I find you deportable and ineligible for any kind of relief,” Judge John Ellington announced on Oct. 10 in a Pennsylvania court. “Mr. Giudice, no matter how this turns out, I wish you the best. I decided this case as a matter of law.”

Joe pleaded, “I don’t understand. How I can be deported on this case? If you will, I’ll tell you my side. I shouldn’t even be here right now.”

In response, Judge Ellington replied, “I’m relying on the conviction documents. This is what makes our country great. You can appeal and the court of appeals may not agree with me.”

“I have to go back and tell my kids this,” the 46-year-old said. “They’ve been waiting to hear from me.”

The former reality star is currently serving out a 41-month prison sentence that began in March 2016. He is set to be released in 2019.
