Tamron Hall Says She Feels ‘At Peace’ After NBC Departure: ‘I’m Very Grateful’

She’s doing well. Tamron Hall spoke about returning to TV after she was booted from Today’s third hour for Megyn Kelly to take over, and it seems like there are no hard feelings. “I feel at peace,” Tamron, 48, told People. She also brought up her new ABC talk show, Tamron Hall, and said, “I feel that I have an amazing team and we have put thought and purpose and care into creating this show. We think about the audience and we think about the people who raised us, we think about our friends, we think about those who will watch the show more than we’re thinking about ourselves.”

After Megyn, 48, took over the Today show with Megyn Kelly Today in 2017, Tamron also spoke with People at the time about what went down between her and NBC. “First, I lost my spot on my show. I’ve been in television since I was 19, and for the first time, I didn’t have anything to wake up to. It gave me an opportunity to look at my life.” In spite of that low point, it sounds like she’s now doing better than ever. “I feel fortunate and I feel it’s a reminder to everyone to not give up on your dreams and to bet on yourself,” she said on September 5. “I’m very grateful.”

Tamron indeed has a lot to be grateful for these days. For starters, on April 25, she welcomed a beautiful baby boy alongside her husband, Steven Greener. She shared the very exciting news with the world when she took to Instagram and introduced the little guy to her fans and followers. “Moses and Mama!!” she wrote. “I can’t wait to introduce y’all to my #sonshine. Now, she’s going to have a new TV show as well and seems pumped for the opportunity. “It’s like when you’re a child and you see Christmas on the calendar but it’s only June and you think it will never happen,” she said of the upcoming series. “Then suddenly it’s right there. A year ago I could not have imagined this.” Congrats, Tamron!
