Pregnant Chrissy Teigen Says She Chose to Have a Daughter For John Legend — Find Out Why - In Touch Weekly

Chrissy Teigen has been candid throughout her first pregnancy — and now the TV personality and model is revealing why she and husband John Legend chose to have a daughter during her IVF process.

“I’ve made this decision. Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl,’” the 30-year-old tells People.

“I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me to see — just the thought of seeing him with a little girl,” Chrissy continues.

“A boy will come along. We’ll get there too, so it’s not like we really have to pick. And this girl is going to be so completely lucky to have John as her papa — it’s crazy!”

Chrissy married the 37-year-old musician in 2013, and has been open in the past about their struggle to conceive. They happily revealed back in October that they are expecting a baby in the spring — and it sounds like they can’t wait to be parents!

“I’m excited to see what he is going to do because I think we’ll have two very different styles. I’m excited to see that part of John,” she reveals. “I think it’ll be really fun.”

We can’t wait to meet the new addition!
