Luke Perry’s Son Jack Makes His Return to Wrestling 1 Month After His Dad’s Death
He’s trying to move on. Luke Perry’s son, Jack, returned to wrestling one month after his dad passed away on March 4. The athlete posted a heartfelt note on Instagram revealing the big news.
“I’m not sure I’ll ever be ready,” the 21-year-old captioned a video of the match in Jersey City, New Jersey, on Saturday, April 6. “But I’m back. Thanks for all the love and support. @gamechangerwrestling #jjsb3 #wrestlemaniaweekend2019.”
Many of his followers rallied around Jack (a.k.a. Jungle Boy) and commented that it was great to see him in the ring again. One person wrote, “You looked so much like your dad when you blew that kiss. Good for you getting back out there,” while another echoed, “You got this! And with an angel on your shoulder.” A third person chimed in, writing, “Praying for you. Your Dad is watching over you and VERY proud of you!”
Even Skeet Ulrich — who starred alongside Luke on Riverdale — congratulated the pro-wrestler for winning at the event. “Can’t wait for Vegas!!!! Proud of you,” he wrote. Additionally, Jason Priestley — who played opposite Luke in 90210 — supported him as well, writing, “Welcome back Jungle Boy!!”
The actor died after he suffered a massive stroke at just 52 years old. Two days after the untimely death, Jack paid tribute to his father on social media. “He was a lot of things to a lot of people. To me, he was always Dad. He loved and supported me in everything and inspired me to be the best that I could possibly be,” he wrote on March 6. “I’ve learned so much from you, and my heart is broken thinking about everything you won’t be here for. I’ll miss you every day that I walk this earth. I’ll do whatever I can to carry on your legacy and make you proud. I love you, Dad.”
On March 23, Luke’s daughter, Sophie Perry, made it clear she was thinking about her dad on social media. “Miss him a little extra today,” the 18-year-old captioned a snap of herself in a car with the Hollywood star.
We’re happy to see Jack following his passion after a rough month — his dad would be so happy.
