A bad romance, indeed. Lady Gaga and Christian Carino called it quits in February, and now, it seems like the pop star doesn’t want anything to do with her ex. “She’s been hounded by Christian,” a source revealed to Us Weekly on Thursday, April 25. “She told him not to contact her.”

The former flames started dating in February 2017 and got engaged later that same year. Even though the duo rarely spoke about one another in the press, it seemed like they were happy when they were spotted out together. However, it apparently wasn’t all roses and butterflies.

A second insider told the publication that the relationship was “a bit toxic,” and the 33-year-old has been “enjoying her life” since the two decided to go their separate ways.

After the “Born This Way” crooner went to the Grammy Awards solo in February, fans speculated that the two were headed toward splitsville. One person wrote, “So, Gaga and Christian broke up, right? There’s no other explanation,” while another echoed, “Gaga’s not wearing her ring and Christian isn’t with her??” A third chimed in, writing, “Can Christian Carino post an Instagram or something? OMFG I’m gonna have a breakdown if Gaga broke off another engagement. She deserves a man who will stick by her for decade after decade.”

Additionally, people thought something was going on between the New York native and her A Star Is Born costar Bradley Cooper. The Hangover alum and the blonde beauty had so much chemistry while they sang their hit song “Shallow” at the 2019 Oscars.

However, the actress finally explained their relationship to Jimmy Kimmel in late February. “This is a love song … The movie A Star Is Born is a love story. We worked so hard. We worked all week on that performance,” she said. “From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time … I mean, when you’re singing love songs that’s what you want people to feel.”

She added, “I’m an artist. I guess we did a good job. And … fooled you!”

We just want Lady Gaga to be happy — with or without a man!
