Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper Share Intimate Moment On Stage at the 2019 Oscars
Could there be something more to their friendship? Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper became best friends while filming A Star Is Born, and even though Bradley is in a serious relationship, it seems like the Hollywood A-listers have a soft spot for each other. Now fans are wondering if there are deeper feelings there.
At the 2019 Oscars, the duo got incredibly close before they took the stage to perform “Shallow.” During their performance, the pair couldn’t stop gazing into each other’s eyes. Is it hot in here or is it just us?!
When the New York native, 32, won a Grammy for the hit song “Shallow” on February 10, she managed to thank the handsome hunk, 35, but forgot one significant person: her former fiancé.
“I know he wants to be here,” referring to The Hangover alum not being able to make the awards show because he was in London. “Bradley, I loved singing this song with you. If I don’t get a chance to say this, I just want to say, I’m so proud to be part of a movie that addresses mental health issues. That’s so important.”
Unfortunately, Bradley was not nominated in the Best Director category for A Star Is Born, but the “Born This Way” singer still expressed how proud she was of him. “Well, you know, you never know what’s going to happen,” she told the Los Angeles Times. “But at the end of the day, he knows that he’s the best director in my eyes, and in all of our eyes as his cast. I know that he’s so happy that we’ve all been nominated and that the film was recognized and we all feel really, really beyond elated for the recognition.”
Through it all, the Philadelphia native is thankful for the experience. “Everyone who worked on this film truly risked putting themselves out there — in the hope that in doing so people will connect and feel something deep and personal — the way films have made me feel since I was a kid,” he explained.
He added, “When I got this opportunity I knew I had to risk it all because I may never get another chance — so to be here today in a place where people who have seen the film are talking about how it makes them feel, something deep — that simple human thing — that we need each other — and the Academy to recognize that this morning — I am just so grateful.”
Bradley has been with his girlfriend, Irina Shayk, since 2015. Lady Gaga just split from her fiancé, Christian Carino. Neither has commented on what went wrong in their relationship, but fans are oddly excited by the split. One wrote, “I haven’t even seen A Star Is Born and I’ve been WAITING for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper to be a couple!!! May this be the beginning,” while another echoed, “Lady Gaga split from her fiancé because her and Bradley Cooper are in love #astarisborn.” Guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
