This is quite the predicament, y’all! While we’re so happy to hear that Justin Bieber is over the moon with his new fiancée, Hailey Baldwin, we can’t help but feel sorry for Selena Gomez. Even if Justin isn’t intentionally throwing shade at his ex, going around and ~bragging~ about how happy he is can’t be an easy pill for Selena to swallow.

“Justin is in a really good place, and has been telling friends he’s never felt more sure about a woman in his life,” a source close to the 24-year-old told Entertainment Tonight. Ouch! We don’t know about you, but seeing as Justin and Selena (affectionately known as “Jelena”) dated on and off for about nine years, that statement feels pretty pointed. To be fair, Biebs seemed pretty sure of Selena when he got a tattoo of her on his body, no?

However, the source did go on to explain why Justin and Hailey make for a better fit. “[They] are on the same page about their faith and what they both want out of their future together. It took some time for Justin and Hailey to get back together, but the couple knows it was worth the wait.”

Perhaps they really are meant to be then! After all, it’s hard to ignore the seemingly positive effect Hailey has on Justin. Just the other day, the “Baby” singer was approached by the paparazzi regarding pregnancy rumors and instead of losing his temper, as he’s done many times before, Justin remained calm, cool, and collected.

With their nuptials slated to be in the fall, it seems Justin’s only concern is his blushing bride-to-be. So much so, that he’s willing to pull out all the stops. “[Hailey] knows what she wants — an all-white, designer dress, bridesmaids, white doves… the whole thing,” a source revealed to In Touch of the model’s wedding plans. “Justin, of course, will make sure all of her dreams come true,” they added. How sweet! With a love story like theirs, it’s hard not to root for Justin and Hailey… sorry, Selena.
