Jennifer Aniston’s A-List Circle Reportedly Gives Ex Justin Theroux ‘The Silent Treatment’
It seems like this isn’t a clean breakup after all! Jennifer Aniston opened up about her split from ex-husband, Justin Theroux, to InStyle in September, saying that she is “not heartbroken.” Well, maybe she’s not, but Justin might be since he’s reportedly being ignored by Jen’s friends.
Multiple sources told Grazia Daily that Jen’s A-list “clique” are “giving Justin the silent treatment.” The source continued, “As hard as Justin has tried to play the nice guy and appease Jen, it has only infuriated her further. He is no longer welcome in her circle — and that’s a tough place to be if you’re a Hollywood actor like Justin. Jen is incredibly well-liked in the industry and holds a lot of power. You wouldn’t want to cross her and, as much as he denies it, Justin has really upset her.”
However, it seems like their stories aren’t lining up. While reports claim Jen is being cold to Justin, he made it seem like their breakup was a piece of cake. He spoke candidly with The New York Times in September and said, “The good news is that was probably the most — I’m choosing my words really carefully — it was kind of the most gentle separation, in that there was no animosity. Again, neither one of us is dead, neither one of us is looking to throw hatchets at each other. It’s more like, it’s amicable. It’s boring, but, you know, we respected each other enough that it was as painless as it could be.”
The source said, “There are certain elements, including their business affairs, that they have yet to sort out and have been very slow to agree on. It’s really angered Jen to see him talk about their marriage as if it’s all breezy. They are singing from completely different hymn sheets, and Jen thinks he’s being bold if he seriously believes there won’t be any consequences.”
Not only is the Friends alum not talking to her ex, but she is organizing a trip to Mexico over Christmas — but only with friends who have shown her “100 percent loyalty” since her split from Justin. The source explained, “Jen wants to lift her spirits by organizing a Christmas getaway this year. She’s planning a trip to Mexico with her close friends Jason Bateman and his wife Amanda Anka. She’s really leaned on them over the last year and they’re all closer than ever.”
Two people who aren’t included on the trip are Jimmy Kimmel and Howard Stern because they “have not severed ties with Justin and continue to pal around with him,” the source said. Yikes!
The source continued, “She just wants to surround herself with people she trusts, and she is hoping that this holiday will allow her to start 2019 the right way.” We hope you get the R&R you deserve, Jen!
