‘GUHH’ Star Angela Simmons Mourns The Death Of Her Baby Daddy Sutton Tennyson (EXCLUSIVE DETAILS)
So heartbreaking. Just hours after news broke about Sutton Tennyson Sr.’s death, Angela Simmons took to Instagram to share an emotional tribute to her ex-fiancé. The Growing Up Hip Hop star documented her relationship and her split with her baby daddy, and it seems like, despite the fact that Angela and Sutton Sr. decided to go their separate ways, she still has a lot of love for the father of her son.
“Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift. I’m hurting. I’m numb. Thank you for the outpouring of love everyone. I can’t believe I’m even saying Rest In Peace Sutton. I promise to hold SJ down in every way I promise,” the 31-year-old wrote in her tribute, along with photos of Sutton Sr. with their son, Sutton Jr.
On Saturday, Nov. 3, shortly before 5 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired at a home on 610 Jewel Drive in southwest Atlanta, APD Officer Jarius Daugherty told In Touch in a statement. When the officers arrived, they discovered a 37-year-old black male lying deceased, with multiple gunshot wounds, inside an open garage at the location.
According to Officer Daugherty, preliminary information indicates the victim had been talking in the driveway with another man. Their conversation escalated and the suspect shot the victim multiple times. The suspect then fled from the scene in a car. The crime scene was processed and the incident currently under investigation by the APD’s Homicide Unit.
Fulton County Medical Examiner investigator Bert Ennett confirmed to In Touch that Sutton Tennyson Sr. was the shooting victim.
Angela, who is the daughter of hip-hop legend Rev. Run, was very open about her split with Sutton Sr. on Season 4 of her hit WE tv reality series. During a scene with her mother Valerie Vaughn, Angela explained the reason why she and Sutton Sr. decided to break up.
“I just got to a place where I feel like I wasn’t happy and I tried and I tried and I tried and I wanted it to work because the last thing I wanted to do was not be together with the person I had my child with,” she said on the show. “I thought I met my husband. I’m going to marry him, we have kids. And it just didn’t happen like that. God had another plan for me.”
