Restaurateur David Grutman and David ‘Papi’ Einhorn Open Papi Steak in Miami’s South Beach
In the mood for steak? Miami-based restaurateur David Grutman officially announced the opening of his newest venture, Papi Steak. Located in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood, the new restaurant is a modern steakhouse in partnership with David “Papi” Einhorn. Papi Steak is already a celeb-favorite restaurant, and rappers Drake and French Montana were both recently spotted at the eatery.
The venue, which marks the expansion of Grutman’s Groot Hospitality portfolio, has an intimate vibe with 93 seats to offer exclusivity and privacy for diners. The interior of the restaurant features red velvet seating, hardwood tables and walls that are decorated with an exotic floral print. Papi Steak’s menu features a modern and elevated take on classic dishes like mac ‘n’ cheese and corn pudding with grilled prime meats that are all made to order. Of course, the menu also boasts the namesake dish: the Papi Steak, which is a kosher-cut 32 oz. ribeye made famous with David “Papi” Einhorn’s secret sauce.
“I’ve always loved sharing and making food for my friends and family,” said Einhorn. “We’re so excited to bring Papi Steak to South Beach. The food and the vibe are going to be out of this world.”
Guests can choose from a list of 150 different wines, and 12 specialty cocktails will rotate through classic cocktails and avant-garde regional drinks to pair with their upscale meals. Just like at Grutman’s other venues, diners can expect to be treated like a star while also dining among A-list celebrities.
“At Papi Steak we aren’t trying to be just another steakhouse in Miami Beach. We are taking our unique menu and pairing it with one of the best-designed dining rooms in Miami. I pulled out all the stops with Papi Steak. Working with ICrave on the design and Candice Kaye on the custom-drawn wall finishes and smokey mirrors — they perfectly capture the energy we wanted to create,” said Grutman. “The Papi Steak at Komodo is one of our best sellers. We’re introducing the next chapter of this dish with the opening of Papi Steak — a completely new concept featuring a variety of classics with a twist that only our team could create.”
