Our thoughts are with little Alaiya! Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star Alexis Skyy and her baby daddy, rapper Fetty Wap, welcomed their first daughter together but the circumstances are super scary because the baby was born prematurely and only weighs 1 pound because Alexis’ water broke at just 24 weeks pregnant. She’s currently in the hospital recovering and she gave fans an update on her daughter’s progress.

“Life changed for me on the fourth. Everything changed just because she’s not physically on me right now,” Alexis told fans via Instagram live from her hospital room. She said that little Alaiya is doing well in the hospital but she’s constantly in incubators and she hasn’t had the chance to hold her daughter just yet. “That’s probably the hardest part about this journey is I just want to hold her and I can not hold her.”

On January 4, Alexis’ water broke about three months too early but even though her daughter was born premature, she doesn’t seem worried about her daughter making the progress that she needs in order to become stronger. Alexis revealed that both she and her baby daddy were “preemies” and that the doctors are doing everything they can for little Alaiya. “They’re gonna have me in the hospital for a long time and I just pray that everything [goes] good. She’s okay, she’s fine,” Alexis revealed, and she revealed more details about her baby girl.

“She looks like me, she looks like her dad, she’s a mixture,” she said, and she also explained that she was using a breast pumps to get as much milk for her because it’s better for her. Alexis also said that Alaiya grabbed onto her finger and gripped it, which is a good sign, and the baby is currently the size of Alexis’ palm.

While Fetty was present during Alaiya’s delivery, he was not in the hospital room with her while she was on live because he’s in the studio. She also explained that since she didn’t get a chance to have a baby shower, she will plan a welcome home dinner and prayer for her daughter instead.
