"Oh Fudge!" 'A Christmas Story' Star Peter Billingsley Got Engaged (REPORT) - In Touch Weekly

He asked for more than a “Red Ryder BB gun” THIS time!

A Christmas Story actor Peter Billingsley reportedly got engaged to girlfriend Buffy Bains, according to People.

The 44-year-old became a Christmas icon after he starred as “Ralpie” in the 1983 movie — but more recently was featured in Hollywood blockbusters including Elf, The Break-up and Iron Man.

Though Peter currently works as a Hollywood producer, he hasn’t hung up his black-framed glasses and bunny suit for good! Fans got to relieve the holiday classic in 2010 when he brought his childhood role onto the stage for A Christmas Story: The Musical!.

At the time he revealed, “The film brings a lot of joy to a lot of people,” adding, “I always get asked, ‘Aren’t you over it?’ But I’m not.”

Honestly, neither are we!

The former actor even kept some of the memorabilia from the set. “I still have the gun, and I sadly still have that bunny suit.”
