Zac Efron Reportedly
Punched in Downtown
LA, Report Suggest
He’s Off the Wagon
Zac Efron was punched in the face after getting involved in a fight in downtown LA this past weekend.
According to a report, the 26-year-old got into a physical altercation with a “sketchy transient” in the early hours of the night after the actor’s car broke down in LA’s shady Skid Row area.
When cops arrived on scene to break up the fight, which involved at least three additional people, they questioned the star, who explained he and his bodyguard ran out of gas and were waiting for a tow truck in the district.
While waiting, he threw a bottle out the window of his car, and it shattered near the group of “transients.” The men confronted the two men, and one of them punched Zac in the mouth.
“It was the hardest I’ve ever been hit in my life,” he was quoted as saying.
According to a source, Zac—who secretly went to rehab for cocaine use twice last year—was “obviously intoxicated” at the time of the confrontation. This is extra troubling, as the Skid Row area is known for police being on high alert for drug deals and gangs.
This incident took place four months after the Neighbors star mysteriously broke his jaw—at the time, he said he “slipped on a puddle” in his house and busted his jaw on a fountain.
