A glowing Ellen went shopping with a friend at Juvenile Shop in Sherman Oaks, Calif., on July 23, where she bumped into Nicole Richie. "Nicole and Ellen greeted each other with a hug and seemed like they were good friends," an eyewitness tells In Touch. Nicole was helping the 39-year-old with her baby registry. Ellen is due in October, and wanted everything from a BabyBjörn bouncer to girly organic blankets. "Nicole was so excited to offer her help to Ellen," says an insider. "She was giving advice about what she should buy and things she'll need for the nursery."
