Who Is Bernice Burgos? 4 Things to Know About Drake’s Rumored Girlfriend
Everyone’s favorite emotional rapper Drake knows how to keep people on their toes.
Just a few weeks after dropping an unannounced mix tape, ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,’ on Feb. 12, the 28-year-old made another debut of sorts!
While vacationing in Australia earlier this week, he was photographed kissing a woman, named Bernice Burgos, believed to be his new girlfriend.
So who is the lucky lady? We gathered everything we know about her, check it out!
The Basics
Bernice is a 34-year-old model and bartender from the Bronx. Apparently she’s known the rapper for a while, as she has a picture with him as far back as 16 months ago — though, at the time, she called him her “homeboy” in the caption.
She also takes a lot of selfies, because of course she does.
If She Looks Familiar, Good News — You’re Not Losing It!
She was once a video girl, but it’s totally no big deal.
Like, who hasn’t been flown to Anguila and St. Maarten to shoot a Rick Ross music video? Did we mention Drake is featured on the track? Not that we’re surprised, of course…
If You Think Her Name Sounds Familiar, You’re Still Not Losing It!
She’s been name-dropped by — wait for it! — Drake himself! In his verse on Romeo Santos’ song “Odio,” the former ‘Degrassi’ star spits, “And you look like you drawn by an artist/No you – you look like Bernice and Yaris/But both put together, those are some girls that I know from back home.”
The song came out January 2014 — but, like we said, these two are old pals!
Oh, And — No Big Deal — But… She Has a Criminal Record!
Right. Here’s where things get dicey… She was once arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
According to ‘The New Jersey Newsroom,’ the charges came after a December 2010 incident during which she allegedly struck a 14-year-old female acquaintance.
