Though they have struggled with problems like any couple — such as Keith’s addiction issues, including a stint in rehab just four months into their 12-year marriage — the spouses have reconnected and are doing better than ever!

“Keith and Nicole have been through hell and back over the last couple of years and it’s no secret they’ve come close to splitting,” the insider told In Touch magazine. The two allegedly nearly hit a breaking point earlier this year, but, “After a lot of therapy and imposing a new list of relationship rules, they’ve come out the other side,” the source claimed.

Nicole and Keith also have an agreement to speak at least once a day when they aren’t together, which can happen with their busy schedules. And when they are apart, “they spice up their sex life with saucy phone calls,” a source told the magazine.
