LOL! Miranda Lambert joked that her team won’t let her take a significant amount of time off again because she might end doing something really out there — like get married! (Hey, it’s been known to happen). “They’re not going to let me have eight months off ever again because I get married and do weird s–t,” Miranda, 35, joked during an interview on Monday, July 1 with Chicago radio station US 99.5 FM. “I had the longest break I’ve ever had in 17 years — this year, the last year — so I’m a little nervous [to be back].”

The “Little Red Wagon” singer secretly married Brendan McLoughlin in February. Two days after Valentine’s Day, the singer wrote on Instagram, “In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan McLoughlin for loving me for …. me. ❤️ #theone.”

The couple met while Miranda was on the set of Good Morning America for a performance with her country trio, Pistol Annies, Us Weekly reported. Brendan — a New York City Police Department officer — was stationed in Times Square for work. And the rest, as they say, is history.

The performer posted a rare photo with her husband in New York City on June 27, much to the delight of fans. “NYPDA,” she captioned the photo of the two of them on Instagram. The picture featured a beautiful skyline in the background, and the happy couple grinning from ear to ear in the foreground. “Awww y’all are so cute … Congratulations on everything and it’s awesome to see you happy with him,” one fan wrote in the comments. Another responded, “I love seeing you so full of love and happiness!! Makes my heart happy! ❤️”

Hey, if doing some “weird s–t” like getting married made the country singer so happy, maybe she should consider doing more odd things during her time off in the future!
