John Mayer Roasts New Dad Andy Cohen on Instagram Over His Tech Skills: ‘I Mean, Wow’
Best friends are always honest, right? On February 14, Andy Cohen posted a sweet snap of himself with his dog, Wacha, and baby boy, Benjamin, but one person couldn’t help but roast the TV personality — John Mayer.
“TWO Valentines! Lucky me,” the talk show host, 50, captioned the photo.
Shortly after, the singer, 41, commented on the post. “Even more amazing, you took this photo yourself using the two-second timer. I mean, wow.” Clearly, the Connecticut native was joking with Andy, but we are living for this banter.
The duo has been friends for quite some time and the “No Such Thing” crooner even attended his baby shower in Los Angeles on January 26.
John has been a supportive friend by giving the Missouri native two thoughtful gifts for his baby. First, John shared a cute pair of little moccasins from Visvim — his favorite brand — on social media. “Congratulations Andy,” he wrote on Instagram. Earlier that week, the Grammy winner presented Andy with a guitar for his son, which he personalized during his surprise appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
“John wrote, ‘I have never met you yet I already love you,’” Andy revealed. “So sweet. What are you, a songwriter or something?”
John jokingly replied, “Still got it.” The two first bonded over one of their favorite bands The Grateful Dead, and in 2015, they road tripped to see all five of their final shows.
On February 4, Andy welcomed his son into the world via surrogate. The new dad is super excited to be on this journey. “I’m just thrilled. It’s truly a dream,” he gushed on the Today show on February 13.
He added, “I really wanted him, and the fact that he’s here and he’s so perfect and he’s in wonderful health … I have great gratitude for my surrogate and all the people who helped me get to this place.”
Aw, we are so happy for Andy. We can’t wait for more comments from John though, TBH.
