Duncan Jones Becomes a Father Just Six Months After His Dad David Bowie Dies
Congratulations — director Duncan Jones is a first-time dad!
Just six months after the death of his father, David Bowie, the Moon director took to Twitter to announce the birth of his first baby, a son named Stenton David Jones, with wife Rodene Ronquillo.
It was a bittersweet moment for Duncan, whose son was born six months to the day — July 10 — after his father, who had been battling liver cancer, died.

The new dad commemorated his son’s birth by honoring his father’s death, writing, “Love you both so.”
And in a second tweet, Duncan showcased his admiration and unwavering love for his wife, Rodene, calling her a “warrior woman.”

The couple announced back in February that after four years of marriage, they were expecting their first child together. Again, Duncan took to Twitter to share the news with a self-drawn cartoon of his unborn child. It read, “Love you granddad,” as a tribute to his late father.

Congratulations to both Duncan and Rodene! Looks like they’re going to have their hands full with their new little one.
