Another one bites the dust. Flipping Out star Jeff Lewis admitted on his Sirius XM radio show, Jeff Lewis Live, on January 31 that he split from his partner and business manager Gage Edward after nearly 10 years together.

The interior designer, 48, revealed that Gage moved out of their home on Wednesday, January 30. Even though the former couple seemed happy on camera, it wasn’t all roses and butterflies behind the scenes, as the Bravo personality admitted that they had been “living in separate bedrooms” for a long time.

The duo welcomed their little girl, Monroe, via surrogate in October 2016. So, what will happen to their bundle of joy? The host explained that she will be staying with him for now. “If you think about it metaphorically, Gage has burned down our house and broken up our family,” he said.

He added, “We were like friends with benefits. We would still hook up, inconsistently. I was still encouraged, like, ‘There’s still something here … he’s still interested in me … but there was a real lack of intimacy because he wasn’t in my room. So, I actually felt very lonely and sad and disappointed.”

Many fans took to the reality star’s Instagram page to express their thoughts about the breakup. One wrote, “I was really hoping the hints at trouble were all part of the show. So sorry to hear about the separation. Wishing you both the best with the hope that what is meant to be to make you both happy will happen.” Another echoed, “My heart hurts for you and Gage. I will say that if you two are miserable then it’s best for Monroe that she grows up with two people who are separate but happy rather than a couple who hate life.” A third user was just sad, writing, “I’m literally in tears over this.”

Jeff has had a rough couple of months. He is no longer speaking to his best friend Jenni Pulos after they had a terrible scuffle, which unfortunately ended their friendship.

“It is true. So, Jenni and I did have a fight, which then resulted in a rift,” the real estate speculator said in September 2018. “Now we’ve been very good friends and pretty much brother and sister, and I would say, for like 15-16 years. So, look, we’ve been through a lot together, and we’ve had fights before, and you know, this fight was very much like, you know, it maybe [got] a little more heated, but it was like the other fights. And it was really kind of silly and it was … I had offered some unsolicited career advice. That’s where it started escalating.”

We hope that Jeff gets the clarity he needs during this difficult time.
