This is devastating news for Tom Hanks and his family.
A new report claims that his 25-year-old son, Chet Hanks has gone missing.

“A month went by without a word from Chet — not even a single phone call to his family or friends. It’s like he’s fallen off the face of the Earth,” a source told Star magazine.
Police are allegedly trying to “keep the development out of the press,” though his phone was allegedly traced to the deserts of Barstow, Calif. This is troubling, as the magazine calls Barstow “the methampethamine capital of California.”

Last November, Chet announced he went to rehab for a cocaine addiction, and that he’s struggled with substance addiction since age 16. It was reported in June that his 59-year-old father and mother, Rita Wilson, sent him on a prison tour when he was in high school to “scare him straight.”

As far as the methampethamine fears, an insider revealed that they “never heard of Chet messing with that stuff,” but this is the “the worst-case scenario.”
Our thoughts are with Tom and Rita at this time.
