Former Runaways member Jackie Fuchs made headlines last week when she alleged the band’s manager, Kim Fowley, gave her drugs and sexually abused her in front of the other bandmates.
Now, Joan Jett and Cherie Currie have taken to their Facebook pages to address the incident.
Jackie, who used to perform under the name Jackie Fox, told The Huffington Post she was given a Quaalude during a New Years Eve party in 1975 and faded in and out of consciousness as their manager, Kim Fowley, raped her.
“I don’t know what it looked like from the outside. But I know what was going on inside and it was horror," she recalled of the incident, which took place in California.
The explosive interview was published last Wednesday and instantly took over headlines. After the news broke, Jackie, now 55, thanked her fans on Facebook for the support she's received.
