Miley Cyrus' VH1 Divas
Tribute Performace to
Late Dog Lila After
After a week of misery over losing her dog Lila, Miley Cyrus got back on her feet for a kick ass performance dedicated to the late pooch at last night’s VH1 Divas concert.
“That was for you, Lila,” Miley said after her explosive, pyro-laden performance of Billy Idol’s 1983 hit “Rebel Yell.”
The 20-year-old came out on stage wearing black leather pants, sky high black boots and a black leather crop jacket covered in silver studs and spikes. Her toned midriff was showing, and a belly chain link hung down from her jacket, which rested just above her navel.
Donning her super short buzz cut and famous nose ring, the former Disney star proved to fans that she’s come a long way since her Hannah Montana days. And if her outfit didn’t do the trick, all of that crotch and chest grabbing surely did.
It was nice to see Miley back in her element after seeing the star’s mourning tweets about the unexpected passing of her Yorkshire Terrier, which Miley’s mom Tish has now revealed was at the hands of the family’s other pup Ziggy.
“The way that Lila was taken from [Miley] was beyond terrible,” Tish Cyrus confessed on her blog. “For some unknown reason, Ziggy.. grabbed Lila. Not really sure if she was playing or what? She grabbed her in just the wrong spot and Lila didn’t survive.”
No wonder Miley was so heartbroken!
Tish went on, “We dont think Ziggy is a mean dog.. We took Ziggy to SPOT dog rescue and they found her a new home with no other pets or children just in case it wasn’t a fluke. So not only did Miley lose Lila, she feels she lost Ziggy as well.”
And while Miley still has other pets to tend to, the loss of her two pups must be especially difficult around the holidays. We're thinking of you, Miley!
