Once the news broke that Felicity Huffman was allegedly involved in a college admissions scandal, the Hollywood actress was arrested on Tuesday, March 12. The Desperate Housewives alum, 56, appeared in federal court in Los Angeles later that day. Scroll through the gallery below to see the pictures.
The New York native was escorted by a security guard. According to an eyewitness, “Felicity wore a black jacket and looked gloomy throughout proceedings.”

Later that day, Huffman was released on a $250,000 bond. Her husband, William H. Macy, also attended the hearing. “She stared over at husband, William H. Macy, in the audience, but each time anyone tried to catch her eye, she immediately looked down,” the observer noted.

Foreshadowing?
Prior to the scandal, the Shameless actor discussed how his daughters were looking at schools on March 6. “We talk showbiz,” he told Us Weekly. “My daughter, Sofia, the oldest, she’s in the tribe. She’s going to be an actor. She goes to LACHSA, the arts high school here, and we’re doing the college tour, and she’s looking at theater schools. So yeah, we talk about it a lot.”

Huffman wasn’t the only celebrity accused of being involved in the scam — an arrest warrant was issued for Lori Loughlin, while her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, was arrested. Huffman will appear in federal court in Boston on March 29.
