Some people date the prom queen. Some people date supermodels. But how often can you get both in one package? Ask high school senior Jake Davidson – he seems to have found the secret.

The clever teen recently stepped into the spotlight after creating a widely popular YouTube video in which he asks supermodel and two-time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl, Kate Upton, 20, out to his senior prom.

The blonde beauty replied to the 17-year-old via Twitter: “How could I turn down that video! I'll check my schedule ;).”

But he’s not the only brave soul to ask out a celebrity and have them reply with a hopeful response. Check out some other stars who’ve graciously accepted invitations to events with average Joes and Janes.

Taylor Swift
Back in 2012, Kevin McGuire, a New Jersey high school senior with leukemia, asked country star Taylor Swift out to his prom. Unfortunately, the singer had scheduling conflicts and was forced to decline. She did, however, make up for it by asking him to the ACM Awards. Kevin was sick at the time of the show, but when Taylor accepted her award, she made sure she gave him a shout out.

Rihanna
Rihanna appeared on an episode of the MTV special Once Upon A Prom, which gave teens a chance to go on dates with a celebrity of their choice. The hip-hop singer accepted an invitation from a high school teen to his prom and the two shared an unforgettably fun night together.

Justin Timberlake
In Nov. 2011, Justin Timberlake accepted an invitation from United States Marine Corporal Kelsey DeSantis to the Marine Corps Ball. It was a night of “honor and privilege” the singer exclaimed on his website. Justin thanked the 23-year-old for inviting him to “an evening [he] wouldn’t forget.”

Mila Kunis
The same month JT attended the Marine Corps Ball, actress Mila Kunis also accepted an invitation from Sgt. Scott Moore to the same event on a different night. The Sergeant’s YouTube invite to Mila instantly went viral, landing 4 million hits. The actress enjoyed herself at the Ball and considers it a special night to have shared with the brave Marine.

Some boldness combined with little bit of social media buzz seems to be the key to unlocking celebrity soft spots. If you could ask out one celebrity in a YouTube video, who would you ask?
