There are more alleged legal issues for disgraced Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. In the aftermath of his series of sexual misconduct scandals, Harvey is allegedly being sued by some A-list actors and actresses. According to a report by The Sun, Hollywood heavyweights George Clooney, Robert De Niro, Jennifer LawrenceMeryl Streep, Bradley Cooper, Bill Murray, and Julia Roberts are part of a group of stars who filed a lawsuit against Harvey, allegedly claiming millions in unpaid royalties.

George, Robert, Jennifer, and more allegedly filed a motion in US bankruptcy court, in which they claimed they haven’t been paid since March. They are reportedly owed millions of dollars in “ongoing royalties” from Harvey’s independent film studio, The Weinstein Company, after the film company went into bankruptcy in February 2018 in the height of the 66-year-old’s sexual misconduct scandals.

The Weinstein Company was eventually sold to Lantern Entertainment LLC earlier this year. Meryl, Bradley, and Julia allegedly started to take legal action to find out if Lantern Entertainment is responsible for their contracts, and if so, the actors want the company to pay them what they’re owed.

“Movie stars Meryl Streep, George Clooney, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro, Bill Murray, and Julia Roberts — among others — say Lantern has not made it clear if their deals have been picked up by the company,” the legal documents reportedly read. “The contracts are for a variety of film projects pursuant to which the actors, directors, and producers are to be paid royalties on an ongoing basis, but the motion said they’ve been left in limbo about the status of those agreements.”

In the fall of 2017, dozens of actresses like Rose McGowan, Ashley Judd, Angelina Jolie, and Gwyneth Paltrow came forward and accused Harvey of sexual misconduct. In May 2018, Harvey was charged with rape and sex abuse in a case involving two women and in July, he was indicted on three more sexual assault charges. He is currently facing life in prison.
