Poor Bethenny Frankel!
The Real Housewives of New York star's ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, was arrested on Friday for stalking and harassing her. He's been charged with aggravated harassment in the first degree, harassment in the second degree, and stalking in the fourth degree.
“The complainant said Hoppy had sent numerous emails and FaceTime calls numbering in the hundreds after a cease and desist letter was sent on Nov. 22, 2016. On Friday, Jan. 27, the suspect approached her and a friend at her child’s school at around 8:15 a.m. and tried to provoke a fight. He said, ‘I will destroy you, you can get all the lawyers you want, you’ve been warned,’” the NYPD told Page Six.
Jason denied the allegations against him and his lawyer told the outlet, “There are no words to express how saddened Mr. Hoppy is over his ex-wife’s unjustified actions. His only concern is his daughter and intends to vigorously fight these false charges.”
Bethenny and Jason tied the knot in March 2010 and things ended things in December 2012. She filed for divorce the following month — which was finally settled in July 2016.
“Jason Hoppy’s attorney, Bernard Clair, confirmed that the divorce case has finally been resolved; that Jason is thrilled that this chapter of his life is over; that he is extremely pleased with the settlement that was reached; and that Jason looks forward to the future and enjoying that time privately with family, friends and most important to him, his daughter," read a statement obtained by In Touch.
