She has something to say! Khloé Kardashian shared a statement following Jussie Smollett’s alleged racist and homophobic attack, which he was hospitalized for on Tuesday, January 29. And she clearly feels very strongly about what happened.

“My heart breaks for @JussieSmollett!” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star began her statement on her Instagram Story. “I am horrified by what happened to this beautiful soul! No one EVER deserves what has taken place! We are in a shameful place in American history where blatant racism and bigotry is escalating at a scary rate. We must stand up and demand what is right.”

The 34-year-old reality star continued, “I am so beyond sorry!! So much evil out there! I am praying for your soul to be at peace, your heart to heal and for these horrible excuses of people to be caught and prosecuted! I am disgusted.” She clearly really feels for the Empire star.

When he was allegedly attacked, Smollett was reportedly approached by two unknown offenders who “gained his attention by yelling out racial and homophobic slurs towards him,” according to information provided to In Touch by the Chicago Police Department. They then allegedly “battered” Smollett with their hands “about the face” before allegedly pouring “an unknown chemical substance on the victim.” The incident background provided also reported that at one point during the attack, “one of the offenders wrapped a rope around the victim’s neck.”

Smollett reportedly self-transported to Northwestern Hospital and is reportedly in good condition, but the incident is still very scary. Khloé was far from the only celebrity to comment on the situation — as news of what happened spread, it set off a blitz of supportive statements from fellow stars.

There is an open investigation for the attack against Smollett. Hopefully, as Khloé said, whoever allegedly committed such a heinous act will be found and prosecuted, and justice served for the Empire star. Our hearts are with him.
