Things are looking up for Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown! Following the news that he’ll be back on his family’s show on Discovery Channel when the next season rolls around, he revealed that he’s doing great. On Monday, August 26, the reality TV took to Instagram to share a photo him out enjoying nature, something that clearly brings a smile to his face. We’ve seen the Browns move from the Alaskan bush to Los Angeles, California and drive through the desert to visit Colorado before settling down in Washington, and nothing seems to make them happier than the great outdoors.

“It sure is a good day,” Matt, 36, captioned the photo on the social media site. He also added a smiley face as well as a bee, leaves and tea emojis. Looks like he’s found his peaceful place! And the star deserves it after the rough year he’s had. After he left rehab early in 2018, sources close to the family worried that the oldest Brown brother had fallen off the wagon. By April, he had moved to California and lost touch with his family, and he even skipped his brother’s wedding in June. Luckily, once July rolled around, he was once more working on rekindling the relationship.

Now, despite dad Billy Brown‘s worries that he will be a “liability” for production, the family has decided to let Matt back on the show. The two men met up to discuss the possibility and, thankfully, found an arrangement that worked for both of them. “Matt … really had a great trip home,” an insider told Radar Online in early August. “He made up with his father, which is huge. … they were able to come to an agreement that would bring Matt back to the show for the season after this one.” There is one catch, though. “Billy told Matt that he must stay sober from now on, or else the deal is off.” Luckily, his son agreed. We can’t wait to see the whole family back together.
