Shortly after it was revealed Deal Or No Deal model Katie Cleary’s husband Andrew Stern killed himself with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on June 22, reports surfaced claiming the model’s friendships with Leonardo DiCaprio and Adrian Grenier were to blame—but Katie has since slammed those allegations and set the record straight.
“Katie and Andrew have been separated and in the process of finalizing their divorce for a few months and her relationship with Leonardo and Adrian were simply platonic as she was [in Cannes] to promote her animal welfare documentary Give Me Shelter,” a rep for the former America’s Next Top Model explained.
“We respectfully request her privacy be given at this difficult time and have no more comments on this matter.”

The accusation of Katie’s relationship with the Oscar nominee and Entourage star came after photos of Katie partying with Leo and hanging out with Adrian in Cannes circulated just four weeks prior to Andrew’s death.
However, it has since been revealed Katie and Andrew were in the process of going through a divorce at the time of his death, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause, though a spokesperson for the family says the two maintained a good relationship.
“Andrew and Katie have been in the midst of a very amicable separation and had remained on excellent terms,” a statement from the family reads.
“This is devastating news for us, but we have been aware of Andrew’s longtime struggle with depression.”
