Sam Smith is looking like a whole new man these days thanks to an incredible 50 lb weight loss.
But before he slimmed down, the singer reveals that seeing photos of himself had him feeling so low that they made him "want to kill myself."
In an interview with GQ Magazine, the singer revealed that looking back at his former self, there was one picture that still sticks in his mind.

“I saw a picture of me on New Year’s Eve topless on a beach in Sydney and it made me want to kill myself,” he said.
"I just thought I was huge. I've had issues with my weight since I was a kid. My dad became a fitness trainer when I was 12 and he tried to help me, but I've always had issues."
But since those photos were taken back in January, Sam has undertaken an unbelievable transformation thanks to nutritionist Amelia Freer and, he admits, to having a bit of cash.
“The reality is I can do it now because I have a little bit more money, and that’s the sad thing," he told the magazine.
"It’s impossible to eat healthily if you don’t have any money.”
