‘Alaskan Bush People’ Star Matt Brown Has Been MIA Recently — Find out What He’s Been up To

Amid reports Alaskan Bush People matriarch, Ami Brown, is just days away from succumbing to stage-four lung cancer, fans are wondering where her son, Matt, has been hiding. While his siblings have been in the news recently — Rainy Brown was just slammed on social media — the 36-year-old has kept a low profile.

In July, Ami's eldest son — who she shares with husband Billy Brown — was reportedly alone when an explosion cracked his skull. "We got a medic on the way. We’re on the way right now," a production member can be heard saying on a previous episode of ABP. When the crew arrived, Matt — who was at the family’s rural home in Alaska while the rest of his family was in Southern California to be with Ami — was bleeding from the head. "This is bad, man. He doesn’t look good. Safety, prep for an evac[uation,]" a production manager said while Matt yelled, "Oh my God!" Luckily, the reality star was alright and admitted to being "careless."

The notorious bad boy — who has battled with alcohol problems and was recently admitted to rehab — was slammed the same month for trying to pick up a woman wearing a polka dot dress in town while his mom battled cancer. "I do like the polka dots that’s pretty cool," he flirted at the time. "Did you know that they invented the polka dots in the 1950's at the same time that they invented the hula hoop? It was named after polka music."

As previously reported, Ami was diagnosed with lung cancer earlier this year. In a recent interview with People, the reality TV matriarch opened up about why she is remaining optimistic even though she only has a three-percent chance of survival. "I realized early into this that it’s very easy to want to give up and just die. And on the pessimist side, it could be my last days," she said. "But I have the will to fight." She added, "Worrying about it only makes it worse. There is hope and that hope is having faith in God. You can’t give up. I tell people be happy. Just be happy. It’s a choice. Things can be hard and you just want to curl up but you have to shine."
