‘Baylen Out Loud’ Showcases TikTok Star’s Life With Tourette’s: Premiere Date, Trailer and More

TikTok star Baylen Dupree is getting her own reality show! The content creator, who shares various aspects of her life as she deals with Tourette syndrome, will be making her television debut in the new series, Baylen Out Loud, on TLC.

What Is ‘Baylen Out Loud’ About?

Fans of Baylen are already familiar with the often-humorous outbursts caused by her tics, and Baylen Out Loud will give a more detailed view of what she and her family deal with as she handles living with Tourette syndrome.

“Baylen Out Loud will inspire audiences as they watch Baylen push herself outside her comfort zone in pursuit of the independent life she’s always dreamed of, particularly as she strives to build a future with her boyfriend, Colin,” reads the synopsis from TLC. “After years of feeling self-conscious about her condition, Baylen is finally ready to live freely, embracing her authentic self and showing the world that Tourette doesn’t define her. With the support of her family and friends, Baylen is ready to stretch her wings.”

Along with Baylen, viewers will meet her parents, Julie and Allen Dupree, her four brothers and one sister, as well as her boyfriend, Colin Dooley. Despite the rare diagnosis, Baylen’s family shows fans that they’re navigating through life just like everyone else.

“Baylen’s realness and humor struck us right away,” Howard Lee, President of the TLC and Discovery Networks, said in a statement. “Her fearless honesty about living with Tourette Syndrome not only busts stereotypes but also builds bridges of understanding. The ‘Baylen Out Loud’ Trailer Features Some Tough Moments for the Duprees

In the trailer for Baylen Out Loud, Baylen explained that “Tourette syndrome causes [her] to have involuntary motor and vocal tics.” From yelling phrases like “little baby weenie” spoken with a British accent to disruptive movements, fans saw just how difficult dealing with the medical diagnosis can be.

“Having a sister with Tourette’s is very crazy,” Baylen’s sister, Sammi Dupree, told producers during a confessional. “You don’t know if you’re going to get slapped in the face or get a hug.”

While Baylen calls Colin “her medicine,” their relationship was put to the test when he revealed that he may have to move due to his position in the United States Air Force.

“I have a relocation coming up. I could end up anywhere,” Colin said in the trailer.

However, Colin’s news worried the family and Sammi noted that “plane rides are already hard enough.” The trailer then flipped to a scene where Julie fretted that TSA “was going to send them to a back room” after Baylen’s tics caused her to say, “I have a gun.”

Baylen also explained that her “number one goal” was to “move out of her parents’ house.” Tourette Syndrome can make even common everyday tasks more difficult, and Julie revealed that Baylen was “going to overdo herself.” Julie’s fear was seemingly realized when it appeared as though Baylen suffered through a seizure.

When Does ‘Baylen Out Loud’ Premiere?

Baylen Out Loud is set to premiere on January 13, 2025, at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
