‘The Family Chantel’ Star Chantel Defends Herself After Altercation With Coraima

Making amends? Not so fast. Chantel Jimeno (née Everett) took to Instagram to defend herself after getting into a heated altercation with Pedro Jimeno’s dancing partner, Coraima, on the season finale of The Family Chantel which aired on Monday, September 9. The tension was tangible when Chantel and Coraima finally came face to face.

During the episode, Chantel, 28, sits down with her husband, his sister Nicole and Coraima, so it didn’t take long for drama to start popping off. While in the confessional, Chantel admitted that she is still holding onto “so much resentment” after seeing the video of Pedro busting a move with Coraima on the previous season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? 

Chantel first mistakes the pronunciation of Coraima’s name before they talk about more serious matters. At one point in the conversation, Chantel boldly asks Coraima what her intentions are with Pedro. Nicole’s pal explains that she simply said he should be with a Dominican — like herself. However, Chantel and Pedro reiterate that he’s a taken man.

This is something that Coraima and Nicole agreed with, noting how the whole world knows they are married and both just simply want the couple to work out their own issues. Not long after, Coraima shades Chantel, noting how she’s wearing 10 pounds of “fake hair” and Chantel fires back at Coraima, claiming she should shave her mustache (before drinks are thrown).

After fans watched the jaw-dropping scene, Chantel shared her thoughts about the ordeal in the comment section of her new Instagram post. One person wrote, “Line of the night 10 pounds of fake hair!” The reality star replied, “because she wears it too and his sister, and everyone else.” Another brought up Chantel’s remark about Coraima’s “mustache” and she responded, “It’s the style there.”

TLC also shared a tidbit about Pedro’s connection to Coraima during the show. “Before marrying Chantel, Pedro met Coraima while she was in college with Nicole. Nothing ever happened between them. #TheFamilyChantel,” the tweet read.

So how are Pedro and Chantel? “We have our differences that we’re still working on. We have our challenges, but that’s something that will play out on the show,” the brunette beauty dished to E! News back in June.

We’ll have to wait and see if the show is renewed for another season!
