With just eight players left, things heated up on episode 11 of Survivor season 47. After Gabe was blindsided by his former Tuku tribe members Caroline and Kyle at last week’s tribal council, the other remaining Tuku — Sue — was left on the outs heading into the Wednesday, November 27, episode.

‘The Underdog’ Alliance Is Formed on ‘Survivor’ 47

Sue was just as blindsided by the vote as Gabe and was “crushed,” especially knowing that Caroline turned on their alliance. Kyle was still her No. 1 target, though, and she was even more ready to vote him out after he betrayed Gabe.

Caroline assured Sue that she “cared a lot” about their relationship and promised that she was still “loyal” to her. However, she pointed out that she needed to get Gabe out because she felt like he was controlling her game. Sue accepted the olive branch and still considered Caroline to be her No. 1 alliance.

Meanwhile, Andy, Rachel and Teeny continued to solidify their alliance and also did some damage control with Sue. The trio agreed to team up with Sue and Caroline to form an “underdog alliance,” which would leave Sam, Genevieve and Kyle on the outs. However, those three were aware of the fact that the other five could be teaming up to take them out.

Who Went on the Journey in ‘Survivor’ Season 47, Episode 11?

A boat arrived at camp and the players were tasked with deciding on one person to go on the journey. Genevieve and Sam knew they weren’t in a great place in the game and decided to draw rocks to make the decision. Rachel also put herself in the rock draw because she didn’t want Sam or Genevieve to get an advantage. Rachel was the one who ended up heading on the journey and was taken to a platform in the middle of the ocean.

To get the advantage, Rachel had to solve a puzzle that was connected to a series of weights attached to ropes. The weights were dropped into the water, so she had to finish the puzzle before all the rope ran out. If she didn’t complete the task, she would lose her vote at next tribal council. Rachel decided to give it a chance and completed the task just in time.

The advantage allowed Rachel to secretly block another player’s vote at tribal council and could be used until the final six. When she got back to camp, she decided to be “99 percent honest” about what happened because she didn’t want Sam, Genevieve or Kyle to be aware of her advantage. In front of the whole group, she said that she lost her vote, but then she filled Caroline, Sue, Teeny and Andy in on what really happened. Sue felt more bonded to Rachel than ever, while Caroline was excited that Rachel’s threat level was going up so she could become a shield.

After the conversations, Rachel found herself in two solid groups of three: One with Andy and Teeny, the other with Sue and Caroline. However, Genevieve wasn’t going down without a fight and had a pitch for Rachel. She suggested voting out “one of the people shepherding their way to the end,” like Sue or Andy. Although Rachel kept it cool in front of Genevieve, she was now more wary of her as a threat than ever — and she filled Andy in on Genevieve throwing out his name.

Who Won the Immunity Challenge on ‘Survivor’ Season 47, Episode 11?

At the immunity challenge, the players had to stack letter tiles on a table they were balancing with a rope. Whoever spelled “immunity” first won the challenge. Sam, Genevieve and Rachel were all one block away from winning when their towers dropped, putting Kyle and Teeny at the front of the pack. After Kyle fell, Teeny was the next person left with one block to go, but she also lost her stack.

Eventually, Genevieve and Rachel were back at their final blocks, but Genevieve lost it, and Rachel became the winner of the challenge.

Who Went Home in ‘Survivor’ Season 47, Episode 11?

With Kyle being the biggest immunity threat, he was the “obvious vote” at this tribal. However, Rachel figured that would be a great chance to target Genevieve or Sam instead. Sam and Genevieve knew they didn’t have much pull in the game and were resigned to the fact that they might have to go with the group, even though they didn’t want to target Kyle.

Kyle knew he was being targeted and tried to pull out his social game to sway the vote in a different direction. Since Andy wanted to leave a mark on the game, he was willing to try and orchestrate voting Genevieve out instead. Teeny was still convinced that Kyle was the right vote, while Caroline knew Genevieve would be a smart vote, but didn’t want to betray Sue again since Sue and Genevieve had gotten close.

No advantages or idols were played. When the votes were read, Genevieve and Teeny each received a vote, but the rest went to Kyle, who was voted out.
