A little more than one week after XXXTentacion was shot and killed, his family and friends will officially lay him to rest. According to the rapper's attorney, J. David Bogenschutz, the funeral and fan memorial will be held on June 27 at the Florida Panthers Stadium in Sunrise, FL. There will be an open-casket viewing from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., however no phones or cameras of any kind will be allowed inside the venue.

This isn't the only service XXXTentacion's loved ones have held in his honor, either. On June 19, hundreds of the late rapper's fans gathered in West Hollywood — but the celebration was cut short. Police were called to the scene after the crowds began blocking traffic.

It quickly turned chaotic as some fans were seen jumping from roofs into mosh pits below, prompting officers to fire "rubber bullets and pepper bullets into the crowd after participants started to throw rocks," TMZ reports. XXX's ex-girlfriend Geneva Ayala, who is also his alleged domestic abuse victim, was at the tribute and she claims she was kicked out of the event by his angry fans.

"They kicked me out of the vigil," she wrote on Instagram. "So damn disrespectful. I can't believe people are that selfish. I wasn't even there 25 minutes and I literally got pulled away from the memorial. I just wanted to stay. I wasn't bothering anyone. This is unfair." She went on to claim that fans burned the items she left at the vigil, adding, "He would've wanted me there. I have no f–king words." She also shared a photo of what appears to be a scorched globe.

Following XXX's death, Geneva responded to his shooting on Twitter, writing, "It’s disgusting that people are speaking for me … Everyone expecting me to be relieved or happy?! No, I’m broken." Geneva met the hip-hop star at a concert in 2016 and they quickly started dating. However, their relationship allegedly turned violent, with the beauty accusing XXX of all kinds of abuse, from being choked, nearly drowned, threatened to be penetrated with a grilling fork, beaten with hangers, and stomped on. However, the worst came in October 2016 when he allegedly found out she was pregnant and threatened to kill her and the baby before locking her in an apartment for two days. She escaped and XXX was charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering.

Despite his controversial past, the hip-hop community mourned his death and friends have come forward to claim that the 20-year-old was trying to change for the better. "A few years ago, he was pretty violent, I'm not going to lie," producer Zxflo told the Daily Mail. "He was raised by his grandmother, never had really a home to go to." On Monday, June 18, XXX was shot dead in South Florida while motorcycle shopping. Police are still trying to figure out who killed him and why. If you have any information, investigators are asking you to call detectives Walt Foster or John Curcio at (954) 321-4210 or @crimestoppers2, anonymously, at (954) 493-TIPS.
