Dianne Lake was just 14 years old when she met convicted mass-murderer, Charles Manson, and became the youngest member of his cult “family.” Fifty years later, she’s now revealing that she had sex with him and even described him as “cute” and “fun.”

She told Good Morning America co-anchor, Amy Robach, “It seemed very natural and loving and kind of like a game. He was cute, impish. You know, fun.” She added, “He made you feel like you were his one and only love, you know? And yes, there were other girls, but we all shared him. He made you feel really special and specially loved.”

In her new book titled Member of the Family, the now-64-year-old — who lives just outside of Los Angeles — revealed Charles was “extremely intelligent” and that he played on her vulnerability. “He had the incredible ability to pick up on other people’s weaknesses and their needs and their desires, and he could fulfill those,” Dianne told People when being interviewed about her book. “I needed love and affection, and I needed a family. I needed to feel like I belonged somewhere. And he perceived that from the get-go.”

Charles, now 82, was convicted of masterminding the August 1969 murders of seven people across Los Angeles, including pregnant actress Sharon Tate. He is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

Member of the Family will be released in the US on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
