The White family has been hailed as America’s last outlaw family, which is exactly why the creators of Jackass made a documentary about the West Virginia natives in 2009. Viewers watched as Jesco White, Sue Bob White, Kirk White, Brandon Poe, and other members of the family went in and out of institutions, did jail time, and participated in drug deals.

The extended members of the White family have made a living off of welfare by claiming psychiatric disabilities. By being on disability, the Whites don’t have to be employed. Now, eight years later, people who watched The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia want to know, where are the members of the White family now?

Jesco White

The 61-year-old son of the late D. Ray and Bertie Mae split from his second wife Norma in 2009. He’s most well-known as “the Dancing Outlaw,” an American folk entertainer and mountain dancer. The last time we heard from Jesco was 2016 when he endorsed the 10th season of the cartoon The Squidbillies, for which he voiced a character. As of 2014, Jesco was booking performances through his Facebook page. Most recently, he’s been making and selling birdhouses and wood burnings based on photographs of himself.

Alida White

Jesco and Alida have been married for six years and celebrated their fifth last year by inviting 75 White family fans to a remote bash at their camp. Alida started an eBay account on which she sells autographed photographs of White family members and Jesco’s creations.

Mamie White

Like her brother, the family’s reigning matriarch also voiced a character on Squidbillies in 2010. Mamie was one of several subjects of a piece done by Vice, “A Portrait of Coal Town on the Brink of Death.” According to Vice, Mamie still lives off of welfare and relishes in Jesco’s success as a mountain dancer and entertainer. She allegedly has an entire wall dedicated to news clippings and media coverage of Jesco and the rest of her family.

She was arrested in 2013 for a DUI, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and assault and battery of a police officer with a weapon. Though it’s not confirmed, it’s also thought that Mamie is still together with her boyfriend, Billy Hastings.

Sue Bob White

Sue Bob has been arrested several times after the filming of The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia ended. In 2016, Sue Bob was arrested in Kentucky on shoplifting and drug charges. In March 2017, police were called to a house in West Virginia on a disturbance call, where they found Sue Bob wanting to make a formal complaint about stolen property.

However, she had outstanding warrants for her previous arrest in Kentucky and was taken in to custody. She now faces charges of not only obstructing an officer but also three charges of possession of a controlled substance, as she had drugs on her at the time.
